1995

DMRC Formation

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was established as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Delhi.

2002

First Line Inauguration

The first section of the Red Line from Shahdara to Tis Hazari was inaugurated, marking the beginning of metro operations in Delhi.

2010

Commonwealth Games Expansion

Major expansion before the Commonwealth Games with new lines and stations, significantly increasing the network coverage.

2018

Phase III Completion

Completion of Phase III with the addition of Pink and Magenta Lines, making Delhi Metro one of the largest metro networks in the world.

2020-Present

Expansion Continues
